Pomeroy Trophy upset as Frazer Nash grasp on prize toppled |
Dudley Sterry’s victory in the VSCC Pomeroy Trophy on Saturday in his 1937 HRG caused ructions as he broke the Frazer Nash grasp on the challenge to find the best Grand Touring car. Sterry dropped the fewest number of penalties to finish on a score of 433.1 points, 8.3 ahead of his nearest rival, Adrian Goding, in a 1963 Ford Cortina.

Veterans on the Road on Drive it Day |
Veteran Car Club members have no less than twenty-nine motoring events to choose from in a very busy calendar between April and October this year. The Club actively encourages driving events so that our cars – all built prior to 1919 – can be seen on the road by the motoring public. 100 or so single and twin cylinder veterans dating from 1907 or earlier will be on the roads around Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, on Drive It Day - Sunday 25th April – showing that these cars are preserved in good hands by enthusiast owner/drivers.
